An Encounter with Ancestral Wisdom

Sacred Plants & Traditional Medicines

San Pedro 1
At Inti Wasi Jaguar, we recognize the profound cultural and spiritual value of traditional plants and ancestral medicines used by Indigenous peoples throughout the Americas. Within our retreats, these practices are part of ceremonial spaces guided by respect, intention, connection with nature, and knowledge passed down through generations.
Each medicine carries its own tradition, energy, and way of relating to those who participate in the ceremony. For us, approaching these sacred practices means doing so with respect, preparation, awareness, and an open attitude toward one's inner journey.
Among the traditional medicines that may be part of our retreats are San Pedro, or Huachuma, Ayahuasca, psilocybin mushrooms, and Kambô. Each is approached within its own ceremonial context and according to the nature of the retreat and the experience being offered.
Beyond the individual experience, our intention is to create a space for connection with nature, ancestral wisdom, and the inner self, while honoring the traditions of the Indigenous peoples who have preserved this knowledge throughout generations.
Ceremonies are spaces for introspection and spiritual experience. Each participant is responsible for learning about the characteristics, potential risks, and contraindications of each practice beforehand, and for informing the retreat team of any relevant circumstances before participating.
